CURRICULUM

Crown Imperial School have invested in the best curriculums and resources available on the market to ensure our pupils have the best education experience. All our curriculums and resources are fully mapped to the British National Curriculum. All our teachers are experienced and fully qualified, they also have an undergraduate degree in the subject they teach as well as a PGCE.

STEAM

Our aim is to be a specialist STEAM school, we will always place a special emphasise on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths to ensure our pupils are equipped with the key skills needed for the jobs of the future.

We ensure EYFS requirements are met and each child is given the opportunity to build upto KS1 standards before the end of the KS1 period. The Primary KS1 curriculum is fully mapped to the UK National Curriculum, we provide the following subjects at KS1 level: English, Maths, Science, Art & Design, ICT, Design & Technology, Geography, History, Languages (2 options available), Music and Physical Education. Each child develops, experiences and gains broad knowledge, understanding and set of skills starting from a young age.

Each child further develops, experiences and builds on the broad knowledge, understanding and set of skills gained from KS1. The Primary KS2 curriculum is fully mapped to the UK National Curriculum, we provide the following subjects at KS2 level: English, Maths, Science, Art & Design, ICT, Design & Technology, Geography, History, Languages (2 options available), Music and Physical Education. Each child is fully supported and also stretched one step at a time to challenge them to become confident independent learners.

The KS3 level will allow each child to continue building their knowledge, understanding and skills on core and optional subjects. The secondary KS3 curriculum is fully mapped to the UK National Curriculum, we provide the following subjects at KS3 level: English, Maths, Science, Art & Design, Citizenship, ICT, Design & Technology, Geography, History, Languages (2 options available), Music and Physical Education. Children are encouraged to think about their strengths and interests so that they can focus on the subjects they would like to pursue for GCSEs.

Whilst each child is encouraged to think about GCSEs at KS3 level, the two KS4 years building up to the GCSEs are of paramount importance therefore each child is provided with the support and challenged enough to be in their best form to take the GCSEs. The secondary KS4 curriculum is fully mapped to the UK National Curriculum, we provide the following subjects at KS4 level / for GCSEs: English Language, English Literature, Law, Geography, History, Maths, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Economics. Children are also provided further education, employment and career guidance throghout the KS4 period.

Children who have attended the Crown Imperial Primary and Secondary School will have the option to continue their further education at the Sixth Form. Crown Imperial provide the following subjects at A Level: English Language, English Literature, Law, Geography, History, Maths, Further Mathematics, Accounting, Economics. Business, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Engineering, All students are also provided further education, employment and career guidance throghout their studies to prepare them for Apprenticeships, Higher Education or Employment.

The Crown Imperial have invested in a world class Character Building Programme for children. We tackle the challenges faced by young children in Britain and focus on the practical solutions as well as tried and tested strategies. The Character Building Programme is transforming the moral, spiritual, physical, intellectual and social development of children using ground breaking Character Building Programmes philosophy, vision and its unique approach which is based on experiential learning and social action projects.
